Hi, I’m Janine Moran. My family moved to Portsmouth when I was 10 years old, and I’ve been a “local” ever since. After graduating from Portsmouth High School, and not having much of a plan, I decided to go to Barber School as something to keep me busy until I figured out what I really wanted to do. 

I graduated from the NH Barber College in September of 1985 with a Master Barber certificate. Two days later I began working at the Clip Joint.

Flash forward to 2020, after 35 years (and dreaming of having my own business), I opened a shop at my home, specializing in haircuts for men, boys, and families.

This job has been more interesting and rewarding than I could ever have imagined when I arrived at barber school on Election Day, 1984. To this day, I’ve never found anything that I’ve wanted to do more than barbering.
